Teething signs
To soothe sore gums, give your baby a cold washcloth or a teething ring to chew on.
It’s important to clean their gums every day. Use a clean, damp washcloth to gently wipe your baby's gums. This removes bacteria that can harm new teeth.
When the first tooth appears:




Take your child to the dentist when their first tooth comes in or by their first birthday.
Tips for preventing cavities:
Long-term pacifier use or thumb-sucking can cause problems with teeth. Talk to your dentist if your child still uses a pacifier or sucks their thumb.
